Kay had been a sales person and manager in male-dominated industries all her professional life. She need a change and after many discussions with Coil and Associates about her rewarding volunteer experiences, Kay took Coil and Associates' advice to target the nonprofit arena. With excellent networking skills, Kay made many contacts and obtained a dual position at a community college as the head of public relations and Executive Director of the foundation. Assessment revealed that Kay's mission was to help people on the fringes gain access to the community's resources and opportunities. She worked for a college that drew heavily on disadvantaged populations, thereby giving them the opportunity to get an education.
